"The Smoke That Thunders"

ABOUT

Victoria Falls, known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya, sends the Zambezi River plunging into a mile-wide chasm, throwing spray hundreds of feet into the air. Walk the rainforest trails on the Zimbabwe side for the best frontal views, or visit Zambia's side for the Knife-Edge Bridge and seasonal Devil's Pool swims. Helicopter 'flights of angels,' sunset Zambezi cruises, white-water rafting, and bungee jumping make it Africa's adventure capital. Chobe National Park in Botswana is an easy safari add-on.
