"Bay Islands Diving on the Mesoamerican Reef"
Roatán is the largest of Honduras' Bay Islands, set right on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. West Bay Beach is the postcard stretch of white sand and calm turquoise water, with excellent snorkeling just offshore, while West End has a relaxed village vibe with dive shops and seafood shacks. The island is one of the most affordable places in the Caribbean to get scuba certified. Cruise visitors enjoy zip-lining, sloth sanctuaries, and catamaran trips.
