Las Vegas
United States (Nevada)
"Entertainment Capital of the World"
Las Vegas rises out of the Mojave Desert as a neon strip of themed resorts, casinos, and pools. Beyond gaming, the draw is entertainment: Cirque du Soleil productions, residencies, the Sphere, and some of the country's best-known chefs. Fremont Street keeps old Vegas alive downtown. Red Rock Canyon, Hoover Dam, and Valley of Fire are easy day trips, and the Grand Canyon is reachable by helicopter or a long drive. Resort fees and show prices add up quickly, so budget carefully.
