"Pink City Palaces of the Golden Triangle"
Jaipur's old city is painted a deep rose and organized around bazaars and palaces. The Hawa Mahal's honeycomb facade is the signature street view, Amber Fort looks down from the hills, and the City Palace and Jantar Mantar observatory sit inside the historic center. It works as a two- or three-night stop on India's Golden Triangle, with textile and jewelry shopping as part of the fun. Summers are extremely hot, so winter and the shoulder months are kinder.
