"Colorful Harbors, Design & Bike-First Streets"
Copenhagen wears its harbor on its sleeve. Nyhavn's gabled houses and wooden boats are the postcard, but the city is just as much about bike lanes, the waterfront opera house, Tivoli Gardens, and new Nordic cooking. Rosenborg Castle, Christiania, and a canal tour fill a long weekend, and trains reach Helsingør or Malmö in Sweden the same day. It is one of Europe's more expensive capitals, and it rewards travelers who book meals and Tivoli ahead.
